What links to companies does the school have?
The school has three types of connections to companies (for-profit or not-for-profit), not mutually exclusive:
Companies that hired our students. They may be looking to hire more.
Companies that give us information about the types of skillsets they need for their hiring. This helps us adjust the curriculum to match the job market demand.
Venture capital doing the same on behalf of their portfolio companies.
Can the company I work for also establish such a partnership with the school?
Of course! As long as the company does work that is, unambiguously, a benefit for society, we would be very happy to collaborate!
